Kayak Wars was created by Eric Ozolins in 2006 as a friendly kayak fishing tournament between two Texas teams for bragging rights... the upper coast and lower coast. Since then it has grown to be one of the largest, year-long kayak fishing tournaments in the world. An event completely free of charge to enter and enjoy. Kayak Wars delivers a unique point system for over 100 species of prized fish in the United States.

In 2012, Kayak Wars had over 30,000 individual submissions, with over 900 competing anglers. 2012 Marked the inaugural year for the Caribbean Division, with a Puerto Rico stacking up some successful teams. Our growing community and unique system help provide Kayak Wars as being one of the most successful Kayak Fishing Events in existence. An added bonus is the fact that we have some great sponsors who donated some fabulous prizes to randomly award both anglers and teams for various achievements. The unique advanced career statistic modification allows anglers to keep track of all of their submissions from previous years and every additional year they compete in Kayak Wars. The submission interface is easier than ever to utilize and many new features have been added for Kayak Wars 2013 due to the great programming initially created by Kayak Wars software engineer Rick Underbrink.
